  1. Hello Jovan,

thanks a lot for the quiz. I just have a different opinion on the first question, if you may consider it:

The companies that may have let SpiderOak handle it, also dealt with the proliferation of data. That was actually the greatest purpose for the creation of SpiderOak as the video suggests. The VPN method was indeed used by companies, but wasn't able to do it effectively with the emergence of mobile phones for example. In the words of Ethan "All of sudden now, as this data started proliferating and moving all over the place, companies had to figure out a way to deal with the movement of this data, as it left the firewall and started existing on different devices, whether they were phones, computers or whatever the case may be.. and that's kind of how we found ourselves here today." That for me was very clear to answer the question.

    Thanks for your consideration.

  2. Q1: like UBZ, I don't see how using SpiderOak to handle it isn't a possibility too…
Q4: your privacy policy is called "SpiderOak, Inc. Privacy Policy". _It doesn't even contain_ the word "Zero-Knowledge". Source: https://spideroak.com/privacy_policy
Q5: as mentioned in the comments on the post with the quiz, you don't even specify with or without using SpiderOak… +as FL said, what if you purged the previous versions…

Pretty disappointed with this "university", not only this feels more like an infomercial than real education, but also the questions are ambiguous and in contradiction with the information that can be found on your site… I think I'd rather have a lottery, that would spare time, headache and frustration…

  3. In my case, I am not complaining at all. I found the initiative very interesting and the possibility to win free space is very nice. I just had another point of view on the first question, but if Jovan thinks it's not an option I won't complain. Like I said, I am pretty happy that we have the opportunity to win free GBs in the first place and wouldn't like if all this complaining would prevent SpiderOak from doing such cool offers in the future. Keep up the good work and support to your customers!

  4. @PCR – Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Very sorry to hear you are frustrated. However, thanks for participating. You'll at least get a free gigabyte. We will have a few more weeks of SpiderOak University so we'd love for you to continue participating and we'll make sure the questions are more specific.

@UBZ – Thank you very much. The questions were pulled right from the video, and not based on individual experience such as the last question. Thanks for participating and stay tuned for more. :)

@All Quizzes have been graded. You should start noticing your storage appear in 1 to 2 days!

  5. I just hope the correctness of SpiderOak's crypto code and security handling is better than this Q&A.

  6. @Jovan – you said "the questions were pulled right from the video, and not based on individual experience.." and that's exactly what I'm saying. As I quoted Ehtan "All of sudden now, as this data started proliferating and moving all over the place, companies had to figure out a way to deal with the movement of this data, as it left the firewall and started existing on different devices, whether they were phones, computers or whatever the case may be.. and that's kind of how we found ourselves here today."

Can you please explain me how could this not be the emergence of SpiderOak that dealt with the proliferation of data BASED ON THE VIDEO?

    Thanks

  7. Sweet I got a fan, just the day humidex reached 40°C :) Glad to get the GB (I still haven't used up my first GB but I like empty available space ^^), although I miss the perfect score more than the 2nd GB. Maybe I'm a bit biased because I participated in AI/ML-class and some Udacity stuff so got used to pretty solid online learning things where it was possible to get (almost) perfect grades thanks to (usually) fairly clear (or clarified) questions…

  8. I don't mean to be a jerk, but how long will it take to get the space credit? Still trying to evaluate if I'm going to move all my stuff to SO, and the slight extra space would be handy :)

  9. Hello everyone,

Not to worry. Your storage will be added soon as soon as possible. Sorry for the delay and thanks for your patience.

  10. Thanks, I received it. Looks like I even got 2GB, unless maybe I referred someone without noticing. ^^
